The ELEDIA@UTB node is aimed at promoting research activities in the field of wireless communications with focus on the synthesis and design of advanced systems and methods for distributed monitoring and sensing with direct impact on real-world applications in Brunei.
In this framework, the node is supported by the ELEDIA International Network through the cross-fertilization of ideas and activities, promoting the exchange of researchers and students, and also joining regional, national, and international project initiatives. Turning the outcomes of the researches into real wireless systems and services for the benefit of the Brunei citizens is one of the main objectives of the ELEDIA@UTB. The application fields under investigation include smart farming, healthcare and social life, internet of things and wireless communications, environmental monitoring and more in general all those applications aimed at enhancing the quality of life and the smartness of the cities and the communities in Brunei.
