New ELEDIA Paper Published in Earthquake Engineering & Structural Dynamics

📢 The ELEDIA Research Center is pleased to announce the publication of the paper: “The importance of corner frequency in site-based stochastic ground motion models” by Maijia Su, Mayssa Dabaghi, and Marco Broccardo, in Earthquake Engineering & Structural Dynamics.

🌍 Artificial stochastic ground motion simulations are widely used for time history analysis of structures and are key to employing Uncertainty Quantification methods in Earthquake Engineering. However, their spectral correlation structure can be distorted by a single parameter, potentially affecting the outcome of your analysis.

🔍 The paper, available as a pre-print at https://lnkd.in/dKNY4crB explains WHY this happens and, more importantly, HOW to fix it.
