The course will present the vision of future #wireless communication. The intelligent #metasurface technology is one of the most interesting candidate technologies. In typical communication systems, the environment (e.g., walls, objects, windows, etc.) are considered as obstacles that deteriorate the level of the received signal, but the environment itself, if properly structured through the integration of #intelligentmetasurfaces, whose properties can be controlled in real-time, may represent a degree of freedom available to make the future communication systems even more performing.
