The ELEDIA Research Center is pleased to share some remarkable results from the #EEB research project, a #European #Community initiative funded within the framework of #PON 2007-2013 and the Italian #Smart #Communities cluster. The main objective of this successfully #completed #project was to significantly enhance #energy #efficiency in buildings and urban districts.
Among the activities in which the dedicated ELEDIA@UniTN research team actively participated, we are proud to present our groundbreaking energy-management system. This innovative solution #optimizes the #energy #demand of smart #buildings, smart #districts, and large smart #grids. By offering users and system managers an optimal load schedule, our system achieves multiple objectives:
– #Energy #Saving. Also We prioritize the use of #green #energy whenever possible, reducing overall energy consumption.
– Urban and Grid-Level Energy #Peak #Reduction: By intelligently managing shiftable loads (e.g., washing machines, heating), we contribute to reducing energy peaks at the urban and grid levels.
– #Cost #Reduction: Our system takes into account time-variable energy costs, resulting in cost #savings for users and a positive impact on the #environment.
The decision support system utilizes autonomous #wireless smart #sensors and #actuators to monitor and control energy consumption. We leverage #game #theory and #global #optimization #techniques to identify the best #tradeoff #solutions for each user and the overall scenario. This comprehensive approach ensures #efficient energy management and #user #satisfaction.
At #ELEDIA, we are deeply committed to creating #sustainable and energy-efficient urban environments. Through our participation in projects like EEB, we strive to make a significant impact on #clean #energy and sustainability. To learn more, visit our website at https://lnkd.in/eM2MeTRu
