Digital Agriculture Technologies and Methodologies

Digital agriculture consists in the seamless integration of digital technologies into crop and livestock management and other processes in agriculture. The ELEDIA Research Center studies and develops technologies for the pervasive acquisition of multiple physical quantities using wireless smart platforms, the real time control and the continuous monitoring of the environmental status through remote connection, and data mining strategies and custom algorithms for data analysis, learning, and optimization. The research activities carried out by the members of the ELEDIA Research Center in the field regard a wide variety of topics including

  • Environmental digital twins
  • Digital agriculture
  • Precision and smart farming
  • Water saving
  • Agrochemical dosage minimization
  • Wireless internet-of-things (IoT)
  • Wireless sensor networks (WSN)
  • AI-based prediction strategies and data fusion for smart agriculture.
