Antennas are key components in communications systems. During the last decades, the ever increasing demands of end users have pushed forward the development of highly performing devices providing high gain, wide bandwidth, high reconfigurability and electronically beam-steerable capabilities. In this framework, members of the ELEDIA Reserch Center are developing effective multi-objective strategies able to address such challenging requirements for mobile and satellite antenna design, including the following
- UWB/stacked UWB antennas
- reconfigurable antennas
- plasma antennas
- wide-beam antennas for wide-scanning applications
- frequency-agile antennas
- spatially filtering antennas
- reflectarrays and transmitarrays.
