%X This work introduces a novel multi-step inverse scattering method within the contrast source inversion (CSI) framework, specifically designed to reconstruct non-Born scatterers. The technique models the unknown contrast sources using a multi-resolution (MR) approach, enabling a more flexible and detailed representation. These sources are then recovered iteratively using Bayesian compressive sensing (BCS). The performance and reliability of the MR-BCS-CSI method are validated through a set of numerical test cases. %D 2025 %T Sparse Target Reconstruction via Multi-Resolution Bayesian Compressive Sensing %A Marco SALUCCI %A Lorenzo POLI %A Francesco ZARDI %A Luca TOSI %A Samantha LUSA %A Andrea MASSA %L elediasc12914 %I ELEDIA Research Center - University of Trento %K microwave imaging (MI), contrast source inversion (CSI), Bayesian compressive sensing (BCS), inverse scattering (IS)
