Assessing the impact of such non-idealities on the radiated pattern in clearly of fundamental importance, especially for critical applications such as monitoring, surveillance, and control. Towards this end, an innovative sensitivity tool has been developed to analyze the impact of phase tolerances in planar phased arrays on the radiation features. The proposed approach exploits the theory of interval analysis (IA), and makes use of the Minkowski sum to produce narrower bounds than classical Cartesian-IA. Some numerical results are shown, in order to prove the effectiveness of the developed Minkowski-IA approach, as well as to compare the generated pattern bounds with those determined through Cartesian-IA. publisher: University of Trento date: 2017 type: Monograph type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: http://www.eledia.org/students-reports/721/1/Phase%20Tolerance%20Analysis%20in%20Planar%20Phased%20Arrays%20Through%20Minkowski%20Interval%20Analysis.pdf identifier: Tenuti, L. and Anselmi, N. and Rocca, P. and Salucci, M. and Massa, A.
