La wireless power transmission (WPT) viene utilizzata per alimentare dispositivi dislocati in ambienti non fisicamente raggiungibili mediante linee di alimentazione cablata di tipo standard. Il funzionamento di tali dispositivi si basa sulla ricezione di un segnale a radiofrequenza, la sua conversione mediante un dispositivo semiconduttore e l'alimentazione, dopo opportuno filtraggio, di un carico. Lo scopo di questo progetto Ë la realizzazione di un prototipo sperimentale costituito da un array di rettificatori in grado di alimentare un nodo WSN.
