Scientific basis for precise design and performance security of functional shape

Under the support of the Major Program of NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation), lots of work has been done with the functional surface of typical electronic equipment, including the researching of coupling mechanism between structural factors and system performance; the modeling of theoretical model of electromechanical multi-physics coupling; the building up of quantitative characterization system for key parameters of geometrical multi-scale and material nonlinearity; and the realizing of multi-disciplinary optimization design method for the specific performance requirements of the functional surface, which provides effective basic theory and implementation method for the precise design of functional surface of electronic equipment and lay the foundation for realizing rapidly progress of China electronic equipment's industry design means.

Study on the key technologies of QTT 110-m reflector antenna

Under the support of national 973 program concerning the 110-m globally largest fully-steerable reflector antenna, the key technologies of structure and control of high-precision fully-steerable large radio telescope is studied based on electromechanical coupling. Through modeling and simulation, the optimal homology design model of large antenna is established. On this basis, the integrated electromechanical design method optimizing electromagnetic performance and structural performance, the integrated optimization method of structure and control, and the control method of high pointing precision are proposed, which establish a solid theoretical base for promoting the development and innovation of large antennas.

Study on the key technologies of conformal load bearing antenna structure (CLAS)

Under the support of national 973 program concerning integrated structure and function antenna-feeding system, the static and dynamic evolution model of functional characteristics is established. The influence of structural factors and manufacturing process on the comprehensive performance is studied and the influence mechanism of structural parameters, manufacturing features and service environment on the comprehensive performance is revealed. The optimal inversion method of manufacturing features based on functional characteristics is proposed, which provide reference for the determination of manufacturing features.

Research Progress

Study on the 3-D printing technologies of functional structure parts

Under the support of pre-research project and National Natural Science Foundation of China, an integrated 3D injection-printing forming method of conformal load bearing functional parts is proposed. The injection process model is established and the influence mechanism of injection/solidification parameters on forming quality is revealed. Key technologies such as adaptive injection control of the non-Newtonian fluids, on-line monitoring of injection process and fast laser sintering are studied, which offer an effective way for the manufacturing of conformal load bearing antenna structures (CLAS) and frequency selective surface (FSS) radomes.

Innovative structure of antenna servo system

Under the support of pre-research project and National Natural Science Foundation of China, a solution of the antenna servo system based on parallel mechanism is proposed. This solution overcomes the shortcomings of bulky self-weight, high cost and large driving power of traditional serial servo mechanism, and thus effectively improves the structural stiffness, reduces the self-weight of the structure. This research lays a foundation for developing high performance radar antenna of the next generation.

Vibration Isolation of crystal oscillator

Under the support of Innovation Foundation of CETC, a solution of the vibration isolation of crystal oscillators based on compliant mechanism is proposed. This solution overcomes the shortcomings of challenging design, creep deformation of material in traditional solution, and thus effectively improves vibration isolation effect in wide band and the electronic performance. This research lays a foundation for isolation-proof technology of high performance crystal oscillators.

Electronic equipment manufacturing system control

With the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, aiming to typical Electronic equipment manufacturing systems, the research team in the lab proposed a class of optimal supervisor synthesis method based on reachability graph and then solved the maximal permissiveness of Petri net supervisors. Also, a deadlock prevention strategy based on a system structural analysis is proposed, and then the problem of calculating the optimal supervisors is partly solved whose computational complexity is NP hard.

Research Progress

Synthesis Design Platform for Large Satellite-borne Deployable antennas

With the support of the national defense pre-research project, the flexible dynamic analysis of the deployable antenna, two-state dynamic optimization design of the antenna structure, precision adjustment of reflector, reliability analysis and design of the deployment, and the mechanics and electromagnetic equivalent calculation of wire-mesh are studied. And the first Synthesis Design Platform for Large Satellite-borne Deployable antennas of China is developed, which could achieve integrated electromagnetic, structural, and thermal analysis and design. On this basis, 2m and 5m-aperture antenna prototypes are manufactured. It lays the theoretical and technical foundation for the future construction of ultra large aperture deployable antennas in China.
